Columbus, engineers add GPS systems to city snow plows (The Lantern)
The city of Columbus and the Franklin County Engineer are installing a $4.8 million global positioning satellite tracking system on snow plows in both fleets. The system, called COMBAT, which stands for Central Ohio Management Based Applied Technology, tracks weather and operational data in real time to help the fleets run more efficiently, environmentally and accountably.
